I've never really been into face masks until recently. I never saw the point of them if I'm being honest, so never bothered. However with that being said, let's all be real, my skincare routine hasn't been the best in the past. I've spent the last few weeks testing out as many face masks as possible...which has been a lot, let me tell you. I've narrowed it down to my three favourites, which all vary in price and recommended skin type so if you are completely clueless like I was, hopefully, this post will be of some help to you... (thank me later)

First up is the Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask. I have only used this a few times, but I have loved the results. This product is tailored more for people with dry skin because as the title says, it provides your skin with intensive nourishment. However, I have used this on my very oily skin and it left it feeling amazing, and not the tiniest bit greasy! You only need to apply a thin layer and it is super easy to wash off! Currently priced at £16, this is a great product if you want to spend a bit more to treat yourself! If you feel like your skin might need a little pick-me-up every once in a while, I would definitely recommend this mask!

The Origins Active Charcoal Mask is something I have seen so many people using, and reading all of the great reviews on it, I knew I just had to pick myself one up. This mask is great if you have oily skin and acne. It is designed to draw out anything that will clog your pore, leaving your skin feeling so cleansed and refreshed. I personally don't usually get many spots, but whenever I do, I have been using this and they clear up very quickly. I have read so many reviews about this mask helping people who suffer from acne too. This is probably my favourite face mask out of all three, as I have found the best results personally with this one. This is more on the pricey side and currently costs £24, but if you're looking for something to really help your skin, I would definitely suggest splashing out a bit on this face mask!

And last but not least is the L'Oreal Pure Clay Purity Mask. Again, this is a great product if you have oily skin as it leaves it feeling extremely matte without drying it out. This mask is 'enriched' with Eucalyptus extract, which is known for its purifying properties and also gives the product a lovely smell. If you have oily skin, you should always look for anything that claims to purify/deep cleanse your skin. If you want a mask that really does deep cleanse your face, this is the one for you. I absolutely love this mask as you are left with skin feeling so smooth and cleansed. Priced at only £7.99, this is great if you don't want to break the bank and go all out on a really expensive face mask. The results you get from this are almost as good as other pricey options out there!

So there you go! These are my three current favourite face masks and hopefully, you have more of an idea as to what kind of face mask you should be using!

What skin type do you have? And do you use face masks? If so which one if your go-to?

Which Face Mask Should You Be Using?

With Valentine's day fast approaching, every girl wants to feel their best. Whether you're going out with your other half or having a night out with the girls, having gorgeous nails is a must!

Kiss Nails French Manicure

I have worn fake acrylic nails in the past (done in a salon professionally) and every time they came off, my nails were left in a state. I swore to myself I would never get them done again. The past few years have been spent trying to make the most out of my own nails and growing them as long as possible. But since I started my job in October I have had to keep them short because having long nails is just not practical. So, as you can imagine, I was thrilled to receive these nails because it made me really miss my old long ones!

How to use:
1) Select the correct size nail and nail shape for each finger.
2) Holding the pink gel tube upright, gently twist off the cap.
3) Apply a thin layer of the glue onto the back of the chosen nail. You can also apply a thin layer of the glue onto the natural nail if you wish.
4) Place the nail onto your natural nail and hold firmly in place until dry.

My favourite thing about these nails is that they are not too long, nor too short. They are the perfect length! I know so many people that find extremely long nails unpractical, so if you're one of those people don't worry! They are short enough to comfortably carry out everyday tasks whilst also looking gorgeous. They make your hands feel incredibly feminine and they last a long time! For me, they lasted six days before starting to fall off. They retail for around £8 in Boots/Superdrug, which for almost a weeks wearing, that price is incredible when I would normally pay £30 for someone to ruin my nails with acrylics!

Kiss have a wide range of nails perfects for anyone, whether that's a traditional french manicure or something more bright and colourful. I was sent two traditional french manicure styled ones, and a really pretty pink nude colour, both which I think are perfect for this time of year!

Have you tried Kiss Nails before? If so what do you think of them?

Here we go- my first ever favourites post. I have never posted one before, purely because I never feel like I buy and try enough products each month to justify dedicating a post to them. However, with Christmas and my birthday over, I have been introduced to so many new items, which I feel is finally enough to make a favourites post!

Real Techniques Core Collection & Real Techniques Ultimate Eye Set- I have been wanting to try the Real Techniques makeup brushes for ages, so I was so so happy to open them on Christmas day! Both sets look absolutely gorgeous and make makeup application so easy. Investing in these sets is definitely something worth looking into if you want your makeup to look flawless. You can really see the difference in your foundation when using the core collection set. In the past, i've noticed my foundation was very cakey but using these brushes blends your foundation flawlessly!

Benefit Gimme Brow- I am one of the very lucky people who has been blessed with naturally thick eyebrows. My eyebrows definitely do not require much maintenance, so when I found this in the Benefit Advent Calendar I was amazed. This is the perfect product for me because it slightly fills in the thin parts of my brows whilst not looking over-the-top. I love this product and will 100% be purchasing a full sized one when it runs out!

Benefit They're Real Double The Lip- I received this lipstick in my Benefit Besties Set for Christmas and fell in love! If you want your lips to look fuller this is the product for you. It has two colours, a dark and light pink which almost acts as a lip liner creating the illusion of thicker, fuller lips. I'm already very tempted to buy the set of four lipsticks from this range!

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise- You all know I love Charlotte Tilbury & cream eyeshadows so I knew I had to try her line. This is perfect for those early mornings when you need to do your makeup quickly. There's no need to blend or cut crease, you can simply apply with your finger and you're ready to go! It's that simple!

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Powder- I bought this powder alongside the foundation and I am very impressed. The foundation, not so much, but I find that this powder is very good for oily skin! It lasts for a fair few hours and keeps my face looking extremely matte! If you need a new powder and you're on a budget, this is the one for you!

Kiss Blooming Lashes* & Kiss Gel Fantasy Nails*- I was very kindly sent these products last month and I fell in love. I love wearing false eyelashes but I find that most look extremely artificial. I find that I can wear these blooming lashes whilst still looking extremely natural! And the nails are amazing quality! I wore them on a night out a few weeks ago and they lasted all night and weeks after! I absolutely love them and would happily repurchase them!

La Vie Est Belle- This has become my favourite perfume. It is such a sophisticated smell (If that is even a possible smell)... I bought this for my mom for Christmas and fell in love with it myself. So I headed down to boots during the boxing day sales and had to pick some up! I have a full review of this coming up soon so I won't say to much about it here, but stay tuned...

Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse & Polish & Liz Earle Light Moisturiser- If you read my last post you will know I invested in some Liz Earle skincare and I can honestly say it was the best decision I have every taken, skincare-wise. If you want to read more about these products click here!

So that is everything I have been loving last month!
What products have you loved using in January!

Something I haven't been taking care of lately is my skin. I find it so much easier to whip out the face wipes and the end of the day, take off my makeup and go to bed. Even though I knew this was so bad for my skin, I still continued to do it. And my skin really took an effect. My spots were out of control, literally the worst I have ever seen them. So I decided that I really needed to sort it out. I hadn't purchased a skincare product in months, so after seeing so many bloggers talk about Liz Earle, I decided to see what all the hype was about, and I can tell you, these products have become my absolute skincare holy grail!

After spending what seemed like hours browsing all the different products they offered, I decided on the £45 deal. And I know that £45 for some skincare products seem a bit extortionate, but it was my birthday, and you get a LOT for your money, so I decided to just go for it! With this deal you get:

-Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser 200ml
-Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic 200ml
-Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser 50ml (Your choice- normal skin, oily skin, dry skin)

And you also get three complimentary gifts:

-Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Rose & Lavender 100ml
-Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask (50ml)
-Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator 15ml

Like I said, you get a lot for your money. When choosing this deal you are asked to choose what skin type you have, normal, dry or oily. This determines which moisturiser you are given. The moisturiser I was sent was the Light Moisturiser which I love. It feels so light on the skin (obviously, due to the name) and drys instantly, leaving you with moisturised skin which looks almost matte. One of my favourite products in this deal is the huge bottle of the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. 200ml of this stuff will last you a lifetime...okay maybe not a lifetime, but a long time. It leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and most importantly clean!

I've been using these products for about a week now and the difference I have seen is amazing. My spots cleared up in the first few days and touch wood, they haven't returned as of yet. If you are anything like me and have such a lazy skincare routine, treat yourself and purchase some of these products. Find the time to give your skin that extra TLC, because trust me... it needs it!

Have you tried any of Liz Earle's products yet? Which one is your favourite?

Give Your Skin Some TLC | Liz Earle

It's officially Winter. The evenings are getting darker and there is snow on the ground,  so that can only mean one thing... dry skin! And I'm not just talking your face, I'm talking everywhere. My hands get so dry this time of year and I find searching for something to keep my skin nourished is extremely hard!
oil review vitamin E
I was thrilled to receive the Eden's Semila Vitamin E Oil, which has become my holy grail! I'm not the healthiest eater and I hold my hands up to not having the best skin care routine, so every once in a while I need something to give my skin that extra TLC!

The oil is currently being sold on Amazon for the small price of £12.95. You receive a 120ml bottle, which I can assure you lasts agesssss. I have been using this since November and I haven't even used half yet. A little goes a very long way with this oil, which is why the price is so good. It is also made from a natural source of Vitamin E, mixed with organic Rosehip and Jojoba Oil, so you get the benefits of all 3 products in one!

Having suffered from oily skin most of my life, the thought of using oil on my skin scared me, even during the Winter. And still did until I started using this product. However, my friend and I have both tried it and it has worked wonders for our skin and most importantly leaves a non-greasy finish. I have seen dark circles reduced, my eyes look brighter, and my skin feels unbelievably soft and refreshed every morning when I wake up. And what I love about this is that you don't have to just use it on your face, you can use it in your hair, and on your body. Both of which have equally amazing results. I would definitely recommend this product if you have coloured hair as it leaves it in a gorgeous condition, wash after wash! If you're someone who wants to grow your nails use this! Just rub a small amount onto your hands and really work it into your nails. It makes then stronger and longer! If you're someone who suffers from acne or even the odd one or two blemishes, this helps them look less red. It also helps fade the effect of scarring/stretch marks... the list could go on. This product has SOOO many benefits, I could sit here for hours telling you all about it!
If you want to try this product out yourself click here and make sure you grab a bottle before the sale ends!!

Well, 2016 is almost complete and what a year it has been! It only feels like yesterday that I was sitting down at the end of 2015, writing my goals and resolutions for this year. 2016 has gone unbelievably fast, and despite having so many lows, I am so proud to say that I have achieved almost all of the goals I set myself. Like I said last year, setting goals is so important. I find that this motivates me and gives me a chance to reflect on the year gone by.
